This wasn’t the psychological thriller I expected. Instead, it was a thoughtful and emotional story about grief, family, friendship, and the lasting impact of loss.
The strongest part of the book was the characters. Steff felt authentic and complex, and the relationships throughout the story were believable rather than overdramatic. The author handled difficult themes with sensitivity, showing how people cope differently with tragedy and how those effects can linger for years.

From the very beginning, the plot completely pulled me in. I was constantly second-guessing myself, trying to figure out who the killer was—and every time I thought I had it worked out, the story shifted in a way that kept me on edge. That unpredictability made it such a gripping read and kept me turning the pages.

This was a gripping debut novel took you through the love story of Steff and Joey from high school into adulthood. There were many ups and downs along with twists and turns that lead to assaults that kept you reading. The characters were true to life some good and some evil. I enjoyed this action packed book, it is a recommended read.
